Lately I've been checking out books like crazy...to the point where I have time to only skim through most of them. My library tab is probably one of the better indicators of where I'm at artistically and professionally right now. The tab is eclectic and hectic as it reflects my search for new techniques and even classic techniques, all in an effort to better find my personal style. Here are a few of my latest reads.  The topics range from handpainted signs, botanical motifs (which is a great resource to realy simplify a design while keeping the essence of the object), and stationery and textile design. Each book has provided really great visuals, inspiration, history and techniques for me lately.

1. I Heart Stationery: Fresh Inspirations for Handcrafted Cards, Note Cards, Journals, & Other Paper Goods by Charlotte Rivers
2. 5000 Flower & Plant Motifs by Graham Leslie McCallum
3. Sign Painters by Faythe Levine
4. A Field Guide to Fabric Design by Kim Kight
